❤️🖤💛 This week our school community is proudly celebrating NAIDOC Week through a range of meaningful learning experiences across K–6. ❤️🖤💛

Students explored Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures through Visual Arts lessons studying an Aboriginal artist and visiting a local public art sculpture, music lessons, investigations, daily classroom learning and shared picture books. A special highlight was hearing our Acknowledgement of Country read in our school’s community languages and attending Koori Connections featuring cartography workshop led by local elder Uncle Jimmy.
A wonderful week of learning, reflection and celebrating culture together!!

🌟 5/4Rays enjoyed a fantastic buddy session today! They created and tested their own toy car launchers. They finished the session by sharing a story together. What an amazing day building connections between our students 🌟

Green and Gold Casual Dress

We invite all students to wear Green and Gold tomorrow to show their support for the Socceroos as they take the field against Paraguay in the World Cup. 🇦🇺🟨🇦🇺🟩🇦🇺

This is not a fundraising event - no gold coin required.

Today our talented concert band performed at Parramatta Riverside Theatre as part of School Bands Australia Band Together Festival. Our band recieved excellent feedback and had a wonderful time showcasing their musical talent. Thank you Mrs Harper and Mrs Alderman for taking them along for the day.

Thank you to our Porpoises for hosting today’s assembly! We were treated to some wonderful performances. Congratulations to all of our Merit Certificate and Star Badge recipients on your hard-earned achievements. Keep up the fantastic work! ⭐👏

🔢🇨🇳 Learning Chinese Numbers! 🔢🇨🇳

Our Kindy students are having fun learning Chinese numbers and practising character writing on the Interactive Whiteboard. Lots of smiles, focus, and enthusiasm as they explore a new language through hands-on learning!

🎤 Congratulations to Dhashwin, Jasmina, Yashika and Annika for proudly representing Homebush Public School at the Local Finals of the Multicultural Perspectives Public Speaking Competition yesterday at Marie Bashir Public School 🗣️

A special shout out to Dhashwin, who received a Highly Commended award 🏅

Our voices can be one of our greatest strengths, and these students took to the stage with confidence and pride.
