Thank You Mossfiel Community

We are delighted to share some really exciting news with our Mossfiel community.

Today we had a visit from Pacific Werribee staff, who handed over an oversized check for $10,000, with the news that Mossfiel Primary School has placed 2nd in the 2026 Shop for Your School campaign! This is a fantastic achievement and a testament to the incredible support shown by our families, staff and wider community throughout the campaign.

The final results were:
🥇 1st Place – Cambridge Primary School
🥈 2nd Place – Mossfiel Primary School
🥉 3rd Place – Lollypop Creek Primary School

Today, our School Captains, School Council President Mistie Foley and Mrs De Bono visited classrooms across the school to share the exciting news with students and staff. There was plenty of excitement as classes heard the announcement, and it was wonderful to celebrate this achievement together as a school community.

A special thank you to Mistie for her organisation and coordination of our involvement in the campaign. We are incredibly grateful for her support and commitment to our school.

We would also like to sincerely thank everyone who participated, collected receipts, spread the word and supported Mossfiel throughout the campaign. Every contribution helped us achieve this wonderful result.

We are incredibly proud of our little community school. Competing against schools with much larger enrolments, our families once again demonstrated what makes Mossfiel such a special place. When our community gets behind something, we achieve amazing things together.

The funds raised through this initiative will support opportunities and resources for our students. In keeping with our commitment to student voice, our SRC will be working with students across the school to gather ideas and feedback about how these funds could best be used to benefit our school community. We look forward to sharing the outcomes of this process.

Thank you once again to Pacific Werribee for running this wonderful initiative and to our Mossfiel community for getting behind the campaign. We are proud of what we can achieve when we work together.

📅 What’s On This Week at Mossfiel! 📅

The final week of Term 2 is here! With plenty happening across the school, here’s a quick snapshot of what’s coming up this week. 🌟

🏕️ Camp @ School – Day 2!

Our Year 5/6 non-camper students enjoyed another fantastic day at school packed with fun, creativity and teamwork!

Today’s activities included cooking classes 🍪, Minecraft challenges 🎮, exciting Minute to Win It games ⏱️, creative craft activities 🎨 and plenty of outdoor fun ☀️.

It’s been wonderful to see students trying new things, working together and making great memories with their friends.

🎬 Tomorrow is Movie Day!

Our 5/6 students are welcome to wear their PJs and can bring along their own movie snacks to enjoy during the day.

We can’t wait for another fun-filled day tomorrow!

🎉 Our non-campers had a fantastic day at school today filled with fun, teamwork and new friendships!

The day kicked off with an exciting Amazing Race before students put their problem-solving skills to the test, building towers from cards, cups, spaghetti and marshmallows. 🌟

We can't wait to see what tomorrow brings! Don't forget to wear a pop of colour. 🌈

📅 What's On This Week at Mossfiel! 📅

For the 5/6 students not attending camp, an exciting Camper Program will be taking place at school with lots of fun activities planned. Year 5/6 Families are encouraged to check Compass for the daily out-of-school uniform themes.

This upcoming WynTalk event offers an opportunity for members of our school community to hear from Gunditjmara leader and former Co-chair of the First Peoples’ Assembly of Victoria, Rueben Berg.

The event will include a Welcome to Country, Smoking Ceremony and Community Yarn, providing an opportunity to learn more about Treaty and hear from one of Victoria’s leading First Nations voices.
