When you have an excursion planned for a bush walk through RNP/ Heathcote National Park and it rains, what do you do? π€βοΈ
Instead you hold an incursion and have the national park excursion come to you! π₯°π
Today our Outreach students and staff didnβt let the rain dampen their spirits. So instead of a bush walk, Dave from the RNP EEC came to the Outreach class site and held the incursion there. ππ
Our students enjoyed learning about the natural habitat, flora and fauna of the Heathcote bushland.
And when the rain eased off we even enjoyed a walk in the local Turrella area, exploring the local environment.
At Outreach we wonβt ever let anything rain on our parade! π

Today it was the βCelebration of Stephβ as we acknowledged our Steph, a much valued and respected member of our team both at the Hospital and at Outreach!
Steph and her family are moving to Lithgow and today was her last day with us. The day started with an early / before school staff breakfast then our Outreach class surprised Steph with a party lunch and gifts, all prepared and planned by the students as well as a special song and recording created in the weekly music lesson.
Thank you Steph for your commitment to the school, our students and the impact you have made on their learning and wellbeing!
We wish you and your family a wonderful new beginnings and will miss you! π
