✨BERALA PS ALUMNI✨
We recently had a visit from our 2025 school captain, Trae. Trae was a pivotal member of our school community. He was a founding member of our Deadly Dingoes, and was a voice for our Aboriginal education programs.
It was great to hear about Trae’s positive experience at high school, we are so proud of you and excited to hear about what your future holds.

✨MISS CHAVI✨
We grew our own teacher! Miss Chavi began her career in education as an SLSO with us and was involved in the Grow Your Own Teacher program. Through this program, she was supported to study to become a teacher and today she graduated with her Masters of Teaching. We are so lucky to have Miss Chavi as part of our teaching staff in the IEU.
We are so proud of you Miss Chavi, we grow and nurture the best of the best at Berala PS!
Please join us in congratulating Miss Chavi on this prestigious milestone.

🏃CROSS COUNTRY🏃♀️
Congratulations to our four super star runners: Lucy, Ivanka, Hamza and Jaida who competed at the Sydney South West Cross Country carnival where over 100 schools in our west competed in a long distance run. They ran through long grass, mud and hill terrain. Their grit, determination and sportsmanship shone through in their support for one another and cheered each other on. They certainly did Berala proud.

✨YEAR 3 EXCURSION✨
Year 3 enjoyed a day out yesterday on their excursion to Watsons Bay as part of their geography program. This excursion supported students to examine the features and characteristics of places and environments, with a particular focus on coastal landforms. Through hands-on observation, students also explored how different people value and manage these environments, developing an understanding of the differing perspectives involved in caring for our natural spaces.

✨WOMBAT STEW✨
Wombat stew, wombat stew, ooey gooey yummy brewy….
Kindy students participated in an incursion earlier this week!
The narrative Wombat Stew was used as the stimulus for sensory outdoors nature play. It involved interactive storytelling with props. Students built vocabulary and descriptive language as they role-played story scenes, hunted for invertebrates and other animals, played games and sang songs. They finished with imaginative kitchen play as they made an ooey gooey stew!
