Hospitality | Fish Masterclass
Our Year 11 and 12 Hospitality students recently attended a Fish Masterclass at William Angliss Institute, where they prepared and plated beer-battered barramundi with potato pavé, crushed peas and tartare sauce under the guidance of industry professionals.
The hands-on workshop helped students develop their cookery, presentation and food preparation skills while gaining valuable insight into hospitality career pathways and industry expectations.
A big thank you to Zac Seaborn for providing such an engaging and inspiring learning experience for our students.

🏀 🏆Basketball Champions | Heading to the State Championships!
What an incredible achievement by our Opens Girls Basketball team, who showed outstanding resilience, teamwork, and determination to take out the tournament title!
After a tough, narrow loss earlier in the day to the same team they met in the final, the girls bounced back with true character, regrouping, staying positive, and delivering a championship-winning performance when it mattered most.
Competing in Opens Division 1 with a very young squad, featuring students from Years 7 to 11 and no top-age players, the team refused to let age define them. Their grit, pride, and commitment to one another were on display all day and made this result even more special.
A huge congratulations to all players on an outstanding effort.
We’re also excited to share that the team has now qualified for the State Championships!
We can’t wait to see them represent the school at the next level.

Our Secondary Religious Education teachers and Catechesis Learning Partners recently collaborated on the Year 8 Diocesan Common Assessment (DCA) pilot marking process, strengthening our shared commitment to student growth and excellence.
Through the marking of student samples, rich feedback was provided to teachers, supporting reflective practice and targeted improvement. The DCA plays a vital role in monitoring student progress, identifying areas for development, and generating meaningful data and evidence to inform teaching in Religious Education.
Aligned with the Catholic Schools Broken Bay Curriculum, Assessment & Pedagogy Framework for Years 3–10, this collaborative process empowers educators to refine their practice and enhance learning outcomes for all students.

A Story of Courage and Resilience | Rashida Yosufzai Inspires Year 7
SBS journalist, Rashida Yosufzai shared a powerful and personal story with our Year 7 English students. She spoke about her family’s journey fleeing Afghanistan in the 1990s as refugees, after her father’s life was threatened by the Taliban. Her experience closely connects with the play Boy Overboard, which students are currently studying.
Students listened intently as she reflected on her journey to Australia and her gratitude to now call it home, an inspiring session that may have sparked future journalists in the room.
