Our Cambodia Service Trip is off to an unforgettable start! 🇰🇭

No time to waste! After landing, our students dived straight into exploring Phnom Penh while also gaining a deeper understanding of Cambodia’s history. They visited S21 and the Killing Fields, paying their respects and reflecting on the resilience and strength of the Cambodian people. They also toured the stunning Royal Palace before immersing themselves in the energy and culture of the city.

To finish the day, the group enjoyed a relaxing cruise along the Mekong River, taking in a spectacular sunset—a perfect way to reflect on an emotional and inspiring first day.

With an early night ahead, our students are now resting up and ready for tomorrow’s long bus journey to Kratie, where the next stage of their adventure and service awaits. 🇰🇭✨

Our Year 8 Creative+ students recently showcased their incredible talents to the students of Buderim Mountain Primary School.

The audience was treated to a variety of energetic and entertaining dance 💃 🕺 performances, including Hip Hop, Pom, Jazz and Musical Theatre routines.

The students demonstrated confidence, creativity and teamwork as they shared the skills they have developed throughout the term.

The evening before, they also performed these dances for an enthusiastic audience of parents and friends, making it a wonderful celebration of their hard work, dedication and passion for the performing arts.

They are off! Cambodia here we come!! 19 students, 3 teachers and an abundance of excitement, energy and gratefulness! This year marks 20 years since we first started our Humanitarian Project!!

We left at 11:50pm, transitioned in Singapore and will touch down in Phnom Penh.

We will be met by Leon, Talia and Mao from Project Cambodia who will introduce us to the history of Cambodia and help us understand the complex Cambodian history. This will be through visits to S21 and the Killing fields! A remarkable and resilient nation.

A big thank you to Kuluin State School and Pacific Paradise State School for joining us today for a fantastic Transition Day!

It was wonderful to welcome your students to Maroochydore State High School, where they had the opportunity to explore our campus, meet staff and students, and experience a taste of high school life.

We loved having you here and hope everyone had a great day.

Tomorrow, we look forward to welcoming students fromMaroochydore State School and Mooloolaba State School for their turn to experience all that MSHS has to offer!

Our Year 11 and 12 students have been hard at work sorting, packing and preparing donations that will soon make their way to communities in Cambodia. This incredible effort would not be possible without the generous support of our sponsors, whose contributions are helping make this life-changing trip a reality.

We are incredibly proud to share that three of our students, Indiana Marshall - Yr.12, Cailin - Yr.11 and Phoebe Tuck - Yr. 12 and two of our teachers- Mr Moody and Mr Johnson Moody have been selected to represent the Sunshine Coast team at the AFL State Championships!

This is a fantastic achievement and a reflection of their hard work, commitment, and passion for the game. We wish them the very best of luck as they compete and represent both our school and the Sunshine Coast with pride!
