We're pleased to shine a light on Blokes, Bites & Better Health, a wonderful community event hosted by the City of Bayswater as part of Menโs Health Week.
Bringing people together over good food, conversation and practical wellbeing information, the event offers a welcoming opportunity to connect, learn and access local support services.
If you're one of our local volunteers, this could be a great event to attendโwhether you're interested in healthy cooking tips, meeting new people, discovering local services, or simply enjoying a couple of hours in good company.
As a fellow community organisation, we love seeing initiatives like this that foster connection, wellbeing and a sense of belonging. Congratulations to Bayswater Blokes and the City of Bayswater and all involved for supporting the local community.

๐ Geelong, VIC
CEO Danie and Area Manager Mairead joined our Geelong volunteers for an end-of-term coffee catch-up โ and left inspired.
Over coffee and cake, volunteers shared what made this term so rewarding. Bruce spoke about his mentee growing more settled in the classroom. Sandy finds deep fulfilment helping migrant students learn English. Fran uses flashcards to build student confidence, and Anna draws on her years as an ABC presenter to help student leaders find their voice.
For Danie and Mairead, hearing these stories was a powerful reminder of the quiet, consistent impact our volunteers make every week. Thank you, to our Geelong volunteers โ you make a real difference in the lives of local students.
Thank you to Geelong Community Foundation, Anthony Costa Foundation and Dawn Wade Foundation for your ongoing support in the region.

The schoolโs staff were incredibly welcoming, with a fantastic sense of humour and a fun, positive culture. Gina even got a surprise when they brought out a very fitting prop for a photo opportunity! ๐ญ๐
