🚨 Evacuation Drill Practice 🚨

Our little friends from the Nursery 2 Echidnas Room took part in their routine evacuation drill practice today.

They did an absolutely amazing job walking safely to and from the gate, holding onto the safety rope, and following all instructions from their educators.

We are so proud of how confidently and calmly they participated in the drill! 🌟

🌊 Tuff Tray Sensory Experience 🐾

Our Pre-Kinder friends in the Wombats Room explored the different animals and sea creatures that live on land and in the ocean.

Using a magnetic fishing line, the children had fun catching different animals while learning interesting facts about each one. This hands-on sensory activity encouraged curiosity, fine motor skills, and a love for learning about the natural world! 🐠🐘✨

A huge shout-out to our amazing educator, **Holly**! πŸ’›

We are so proud of the confidence and growth you have shown throughout your journey. From where you started to where you are today, you have developed into a capable, supportive, and confident educator who is always willing to step in and help across all age groups.

Thank you for being a wonderful role model to our students on placement, providing guidance, encouragement, and support as they begin their own early learning journeys.

Most importantly, thank you for always being present with the children, getting down to their level, engaging in meaningful interactions, and creating positive learning experiences every day.

πŸ› Caterpillar Adventures πŸ¦‹

Our sister centre kindly provided us with a caterpillar to help teach the children about its life cycle. It has quickly become a favourite in our learning environment!

The children have been fascinated, asking lots of questions and eagerly observing it each day. While some children prefer to watch from a distance, others are feeling confident enough to get up close and gently touch the caterpillar.

We are excited to continue learning about how caterpillars grow and change and can't wait to watch its transformation into a butterfly! ✨

Our 4-Year-Old Kindergarten children recently enjoyed an exciting excursion to the Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne! 🌿

As part of our celebrations for Reconciliation Week and NAIDOC Week, the children participated in the **You Me Murrawee** program, where they explored the natural environment through a guided bush walk, listened to a meaningful story, and engaged in hands-on sandpit activities inspired by Aboriginal culture and connection to Country.

The experience provided a wonderful opportunity for the children to deepen their understanding of First Nations perspectives, develop a connection with nature, and learn about the importance of caring for the land.

What a fantastic day of learning, discovery, and cultural appreciation! πŸ’›πŸ–€β€οΈ

Our 3-Year-Old Kinders in the Wombats Room explored the importance of personal hygiene through a fun and engaging handwashing experiment! πŸ«§πŸ‘

Using pepper and soap, the children observed how germs can spread and how soap helps remove them from our hands. This hands-on learning experience sparked lots of curiosity and meaningful discussions around staying healthy, caring for ourselves, and the importance of good hygiene practices. ✨
