The thing about printing with gelli plates is that there are so many options! We started with hand painted flower studies and then drew with posca pens on the plates.

Painting oils alla prima is very satisfying. A little before and after of a study of lilac roses painted last week.

My Misfits have been experimenting with gelli plate printing. Learning about mono printing, negative and positive imprints, leaf prints, posca pen prints. So much learning!

More fundamental drawing practice this week, including ink and wash skills. It's actually very hard to blend ink and show the variety of tones in the wash.
The Thursday evening kids art class is full of skilled young artists.
