One of the biggest misconceptions about homeschooling is that learning only happens when children are completing formal lessons.
Some of the most valuable learning opportunities happen through extra-curricular activities and everyday experiences.

Hi, I'm Lydia, founder of Homeschool Academy Tutoring, the Libertarian Candidate for Narre Warren South, and the Victorian Education Policy Spokesperson.

I founded Homeschool Academy because I was a single mum who became an accidental homeschooler. I needed help. I felt overwhelmed, afraid of failing my son, and completely unprepared. The support I felt I needed simply didn't exist, so I created exactly what I needed for my son and our homeschooling journey.

Since then, my passion for children, especially vulnerable children, has grown into something of a warrior spirit. I want change. I want to help our children. I want governments to support families. I want our children to grow into strong, healthy, capable adults.

That's why I decided to step into politics and fight from the inside.

As you can imagine, getting into Parliament won't be easy, but I am determined to give it my very best.

I believe:

• Children need to be protected.
• Children should have the freedom to learn in ways that suit them best.
• Parents should never lose authority over their children. Governments have no right to replace the role of parents.
• Education needs a complete overhaul.
• Home education deserves recognition and support.
• NDIS funding should support educational needs.

There are so many things that need to change. Wishing for change isn't enough. That's why I'm stepping up and stepping in.

Semester 2 comes with some exciting new workshops designed to support more than just academic learning.

Education should help prepare children and young people for life. Our workshops focus on building confidence, independence, communication skills, social participation, problem-solving, and real-world life skills.

Our workshops are designed to support the whole child because Life Skills and Academics belong together.

Plus, the kids love it!

This is going to be such an eye-opening and practical session for homeschooling families wanting to better understand how AI can support home education in real life.

Carlz will be walking us through some of the latest AI tools now available.

Whether you are completely new to AI or already experimenting with it in your homeschool journey, this session will give you practical ideas, live demonstrations and real examples of how these tools can work within a home education environment... Ai isn't here to replace education, it is here to assist education!

There will also be time for questions and discussion throughout the session.

I officially step into the political realm as the Libertarian candidate for Narre Warren South.

This wasn’t a decision I made lightly.

I’m stepping forward because I’m tired of the direction Australia is heading. I’m tired of crushing taxes, endless bureaucracy, government overreach, and watching small businesses get buried under systems that were supposedly designed to support them.

This is personal for me.

As the founder of HomeschoolAcademy, I have personally experienced what government overreach can do. Decisions made by governing bodies saw us lose half of our business and deeply impacted the families we support. The effects are still being felt today.

I’m also deeply concerned about the future we are leaving for our children. I fear the increasing interference in family life, education, and the values being pushed onto the next generation.

I will absolutely continue running Homeschool Academy because supporting families remains at the core of who I am. But I’ve realised that if we truly want change, we cannot just complain from the sidelines.

Change happens from the inside.

I’m passionate about:
• Protecting freedoms and reducing government overreach
• Supporting small businesses instead of suffocating them/less taxes
• Defending family choice and homeschooling freedoms
• Creating a future where our children can thrive

This is only the beginning, and I’m ready to fight for the future of Victoria and Australia.
