📣 2026/2027 CCS Update – What Families Need to Know

Changes to the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) are coming into effect, and we encourage all families to review their CCS and other details through their MyGov account and ensure their family income estimate is up to date to help avoid any unexpected adjustments.

Remember to do this by the 30th of June 2026.

If you have any questions about how these changes may affect your fees, please don’t hesitate to speak with Jhumur or Kate in the office.

🍀🍃 Why do we encourage gardening at Goodstart?
Because gardening requires children to practice and hone in their fine motor skills. Planting seeds, scooping dirt and watering plants all help to improve motor skills, which can in term help to improve their concentration and learning capabilities.

As national reconciliation week comes to an end this week, have a look at the reflection from our Goodstart CEO Ros Baxter.

What does it truly mean to go “All In” for reconciliation?
In her message for National Reconciliation Week, our CEO Ros Baxter reflects on the deep and ongoing commitment across Goodstart to acknowledge and better understand First Nations histories - and what that means for our country, and for the 65,000 children in our care.
She reminds us that we couldn’t be more in for reconciliation. It’s not just a moment in the calendar, but something we live through our actions, our learning, and the environments we create every day.
Because at Goodstart, we’re not just talking about reconciliation - we’re raising a generation of children who will understand in their hearts what it truly means.
This week, we’re inspired to listen, learn and share. We’re looking forward to hearing the stories from our teams across the country and how you’re marking this special week, because reconciliation is something we build together.
