Learning Experience β Water Cycle Exploration (Kinder 4)
During Term 1, Kinder 4 children learnt about planting through their excursion experience. While exploring how plants grow, children became curious and began asking questions about where water comes from and how plants receive water. To extend their curiosity and build on their existing knowledge, educators planned a hands-on Water Cycle learning experience.
Through this experience, children will learn about:
The stages of the water cycle β evaporation, condensation, precipitation, and collection.
How water moves through the environment and supports plant growth.
The importance of water for living things.
Observing and predicting changes during simple science experiments.
Developing inquiry skills by asking questions, sharing ideas, and making connections between planting and natural processes.
Children will engage in interactive activities and discussions to deepen their understanding through meaningful, hands-on exploration and investigation.

This monthβs staff meeting focused on the March 2026 Family and Team Voice Survey. During the meeting, we reviewed and celebrated the positive feedback and compliments provided by both families and team members. We also discussed the key areas identified for improvement and reflected on how we can strengthen our practices and relationships.
As a team, we collaboratively selected three priority goals based on the feedback from families and staff. These goals will guide our actions and continuous improvement efforts over the coming months. We discussed practical strategies to achieve these goals, assigned responsibilities, and agreed to regularly review our progress to ensure positive outcomes for children, families, and educators.
This process supports a culture of continuous improvement, open communication, and shared responsibility, ensuring that family and team voices are valued and embedded in our daily practice.

Our Nursery Room children enjoyed a community excursion, exploring the world around them. During the walk, the children observed trees, plants, building, cars and people, while experiencing different sounds, sights and weather conditions. These experiences support children's curiosity and help them develop an understanding of the community they belong to.
