One of our favourite times of the year is when the mandarin tree is full of ripe, delicious mandarins.

Tree climbing: The children assess risks, solve problems, and challenge themselves physically; they build independence and learn to make safe decisions within a supported environment.

During Reconciliation Week the children have been learning how to use Aboriginal symbols in their art and story-telling.

We read the indigenous book Cunning Crow by Gregg Dreise, which teaches us about envy, acceptance and feeling proud of who we are. In the outdoor environment children engaged in dramatic play wearing colourful bird wings.

While learning about road safety we have been discussing safe places to play. Do we play in the street? NO!
The park, the playground, our gardens and homes are all safe places to play.
The children drew houses, planted grass seeds to make gardens and created a neighbourhood.
Rainbow Sculptures: This experience supported children’s agency, fine motor development, creative expression and sustained engagement as they remained focused and involved over an extended period of time

May 11- 17 is National Families Week and this year's theme is Every Family, Everywhere.
Last night we recognised National Families Week by welcoming our community to kinder for "Family Night."
It was lovely to see the children so excited to share the wonder of kinder with their families.
