At Whitehorse Music, we’ve just wrapped up our incredible Cremona in Australia event, celebrating the artistry of modern instruments from the world’s most famous violin making city — Cremona, Italy.
It’s here that Antonio Stradivari crafted his legendary violins, and it’s one of these rare originals that Ray Chen plays today.

Cremona in Australia

This past week, we had the extraordinary privilege in collaboration with Sydney Strings and the cremona consortium — to host a collection of violins, violas, and cellos from the birthplace of fine string making, Cremona, Italy.

Musicians from across Melbourne came to play, explore, and, for some, take home their perfect match. A few of these remarkable instruments have found new homes here in Australia, taking with them the memory of the music made here.

Our heartfelt thanks to our team, Sydney Strings and the Cremona Consortium for making this possible, and to everyone who came along to experience it.

They gathered early. The air was electric… but why? 🤔
A quiet hush fell. Eyes locked. Whispers spread. Then……..the reveal. 🎻✨ Cremona Collection. Masterpieces of Italian violin making is here in Melbourne.
