Society expects mums to act like they don’t have a business… and business owners to act like they don’t have kids.

The rise of the modern Mumpreneur is real, especially in the aesthetics industry.

Behind the scenes it’s patient messages during nap time, building a business with a baby on your hip, working after bedtime and constantly feeling pulled in two directions.

I’m getting more and more messages from nurses and soon-to-be mums entering this season of life after watching me publicly juggle motherhood, business and growth online.

So let this be your reminder: becoming a mum does NOT mean your career goals have to stop.

If you’re navigating the business + motherhood juggle, I have been there.

DM me to book an Hour of Power or enquire about my mentorship programs to see how I can support you in the next stage of your business.

Currently out of clinic and in Fiji for 2 weeks… and this is the part of business ownership I don’t take for granted.

Working for yourself doesn’t just give you the ability to work anywhere, it gives you the choice of when you work, when you rest and how you design your life around it.

And while I’m here, everything continues running in the background:
• My team is in clinic supporting patients
• Emails are scheduled and automated
• Online resources and purchases are still being delivered
• Content is pre-scheduled so things stay consistent

Because building a business like this isn’t just about being “always on”… it’s about creating systems that support you to actually step away.

This is what I mean when I talk about lifestyle design in aesthetics building something that works with your life, not against it.

If you’re a nurse thinking about branching into aesthetics and experiencing freedom, flexibility and a business that actually supports your lifestyle, my mentorship programs are designed to help you launch and structure your aesthetic business the right way from the start

If AHPRA ever audits your practice… they don’t ask what you meant. They ask what you documented.

And this is where I see so many nurses in aesthetics fall short.

Because most people think notes are something you quickly write after the patient leaves.

In reality?
Your clinical notes are your legal protection, your clinical reasoning and your professional judgement on record.
And if it’s not written down… it didn’t happen.

This is exactly why I built a structured notes template in my clinic, so every single patient is documented consistently, thoroughly and in a way that actually protects your practice.

It covers what AHPRA expects you to be recording, including:
- Patient context: not just the face in front of you, but their lifestyle, occupation and real-world considerations (because a wedding in 5 days changes everything)
- Medical history: medications, allergies, contraindications, previous complications, surgeries… this is where you protect yourself
- Consultation notes: goals, motivations, expectations, BDD screening and importantly: whether treatment is actually appropriate today
- Consent & risks: not a sentence. Full understanding of outcomes, risks, downtime, cost, maintenance and the critical line: the option of no treatment was discussed
- Treatment record: exactly what was used, where, how much.
- Adverse events: even if there are none, it must be documented as “none observed”
- Plan: follow-up, future treatments, and continuity of care

Last weekend, I stepped away from the clinic and into one of life’s most meaningful moments, the baptism of our beautiful son, Stefanos!

It was a day filled with so much love, with family travelling from interstate to be there, reminding us just how important it is to pause and be present for the moments that truly matter.

Watching Stefanos be surrounded by the people who will help shape his life was incredibly special.

Days like this bring everything back into perspective. Beyond the clinic, beyond the busy schedules, it’s family, connection and these milestones that ground us the most.

Feeling very grateful!

To the mums doing it all. Working, building businesses and raising babies… I see you

The juggle is real.

Clinic days, mum life, the mental load, the guilt, the constant switching between roles all while trying to show up as your best in every space.

Some days feel balanced.

Some days feel like survival.

But behind every appointment, every late night, every early morning… there’s a reason. There’s little eyes watching, learning what it means to work hard, and to create something of your own.

Being a business owner and a mum isn’t always pretty or perfectly balanced.

Today is for you. The ones doing everything, in their own way.

Happy Mother’s Day!

Disclaimer: Cosmetic procedures are medical procedures that carry risks and undergoing these procedures is a serious decision. Patients may require time and appropriate after care to recover and be aware that results, recovery and complications will vary for each individual patient and the final outcome is difficult to predict. There may be possible changes to lifestyle including absence from employment or temporary restrictions on activity. A thorough consultation is required prior to treatment to determine if you are a suitable candidate.

“Our Nurses. Our Future. Empowered Nurses Save Lives.”

This year’s International Nurses Day theme says it all, but it also highlights something we can’t ignore.

I speak to nurses every single week who are still in the hospital system… overworked, understaffed and doing it all because they genuinely care.

They love what they do, but the reality is, the workload, conditions and pay don’t always reflect that.

And it’s a hard place to sit in.

Because on the other side, there are pathways like aesthetics, where the environment can feel more supported, more balanced and where you have the opportunity to take back control of your time, your growth and your career.

This isn’t about saying one is better than the other.

It’s about acknowledging that nurses deserve support. They deserve to feel empowered in whatever path they choose.

Because when nurses are supported properly, everyone benefits.

Happy International Nurses Day to every nurse, in every setting you are the backbone of healthcare.

Most practitioners don’t have a content problem… they have a structure problem.

Posting randomly = inconsistent message, low trust and content that doesn’t actually build your authority.

Content pillars fix that.

They’re the backbone of your brand, keeping your content consistent, compliant, educational and actually positioned in a way that builds patient trust (not just likes).
If your content isn’t structured, your audience won’t understand what you stand for… or why they should choose you.

Swipe through to see how to fix it properly.

If you’re ready to stop posting “just because” and start building content that actually supports your practice, this is where you start.

In my mentorship programs we discuss social media, compliant and effective advertising and help you build a plan.

Want to get started now? There is a 4 week social media plan in The Aesthetic Business Blueprint available to download online or purchase a physical copy. Link in my bio.

“What if I fall?”
Oh, but my darling… what if you fly?

I hear it all the time, the fear, the doubt, the “I’m not ready yet.”
Starting in aesthetics can feel overwhelming… where do you even begin? What if you get it wrong? What if it doesn’t work?

But what I see on the other side of that fear is this...

Women who backed themselves.
Who said yes before they felt 100% ready.
Who took the risk and opened their own clinics in less than 3 months.

These aren’t just photos… they’re proof.
Proof that with the right guidance, support and structure, you don’t have to figure it all out alone.

My mentorship isn’t about giving you a checklist, it’s about building your confidence, your clinical thinking and your business foundation so you can actually step into this industry with clarity.

If you’ve been sitting on the idea of starting your aesthetic business… this is your sign.

If you’ve done a course… but still don’t feel confident treating real patients... this is for you.

If you’re second-guessing your treatment plans, unsure what to prioritise or avoiding certain treatments because you’re scared of getting it wrong… this is for you.

If you’re worried about complications, compliance or whether what you’re doing is actually best practice... this is for you.

Because the truth is, a certificate doesn’t equal confidence.

My training and mentorship is designed for practitioners who are ready to bridge that gap to move from “I’ve been shown” to “I actually understand what I’m doing.” You’ll learn how to assess the face holistically, build structured treatment plans, navigate consultations with clarity and practise in a way that is safe, compliant and aligned with real clinical standards.

This is about refining your thinking, not just your technique.

If you’re reading this thinking “that’s exactly where I’m at”… you’re in the right place.
