Before asking yourself:
“How do I get my child to listen?”
Try asking:
“How can I invite cooperation instead?”
The words we choose can either create resistance or build connection.
There is still a time and place for direct requests, but if you find a way to sprinkle in the YESES, it’s far easier and less of a power struggle.

Your strongest reactions to other parents aren’t random. They’re pointing somewhere.
What quality in another parent triggers you the most?

Envy. Admiration. Discomfort. Judgement.
Sometimes another parent brings up all of them at once.
And every single one is pointing back to you.
Which of these do you recognise in yourself? 👇
One of the most important life skills we can teach our children is this:
Notice what needs doing—and do it.
They learn by watching us notice.
When we invite them to contribute, care for shared spaces, and think about the needs of others, we’re teaching skills that will serve them for life.
The goal is raising children who take responsibility and has some great advice!

I used to remind my kids about everything.
Bag packed? Homework done? Shoes on?
I thought I was being a good mom.
I was actually teaching them that their choices didn’t matter.
Because I’d always sort it out.💛

Did you know that playfulness changes everything? ✨
This is the thing about kids:
♥️Play creates connection.
⏰And connection makes routines feel easier.
You do not always need stricter consequences or more nagging. Sometimes you just need to shift the energy of the moment.
We love this from - showing us how play helps move kids through the routine instead of fighting it every step of the way ✨
The bedtime routine still happens.
The dinner still gets eaten.
The bath still gets done
And somehow… everyone cooperates more.
