Mannix Library has a large collection of titles, including fiction and prose. Annie Dillard's writing is evocative and soothing and her "Pilgrim at Tinker Creek" is based on her journals written while living surrounded by nature. Members can borrow for up to 6 weeks, perfect to slow down, take your time and relax during the colder months.

Have you ever read the Classic "All Quiet on the Western Front"? Translated from the German serialised version in 1929, it was banned by N**i Germany in the 1930's and one of the first of the titles that were burnt by the N**i Party. Millions of copies were sold in its first 18 months of printing. An important novel about the effects of war on the young soldiers at the front.

Looking for a new place to enjoy in East Melbourne? Mannix Library has collections of rare materials, art and literature in an architecturally designed space in a lovely leafy street. Come in and enjoy the vibes of a library within the Catholic Theological College. Memberships are by a small annual fee, allowing you to borrow, but it costs nothing to just sit and reflect for a while.

Are you interested in history, philosophy, theology, psychology, social science, religion or art? Mannix Library has over 67,000 books for loan, as well as hundreds of print journals and magazines and rare items for using within the library.

Need some comfort Just finished your exams? Ready for a break? Mannix Library has a large collection of fiction, literature, biographies, history and other books that can give some comfort as the weather gets cold.
