Why Choose BMEL? 🤍
Because childhood is more than simply keeping children busy.
At BMEL, children are given meaningful work, real tools, and time to learn at their own pace.
Through hands-on experiences, they develop:
✨ Concentration
✨ Independence
✨ Problem-solving skills
✨ Confidence
Guided by trained educators in an authentic Montessori environment, children are encouraged to explore, practise, and discover for themselves.
Because learning is not about doing more. It’s about doing meaningful work with purpose.

A Montessori Classroom Without Walls 🌿
”There must be provision for the child to have contact with nature; to understand and appreciate the order, the harmony, and the beauty in nature.“
— Maria Montessori 🤍
In Montessori education, outdoor time is not a break from learning.
It is an essential part of the prepared environment.
Beyond the classroom walls, children are invited to care for plants, explore natural materials, move their bodies, and connect with the world around them.
You might see children watering the garden, observing changes in the seasons, or gently touching leaves with different textures.
You might see them balancing, climbing, carrying, digging, running, or working together to build and create.
Each experience supports the development of coordination, concentration, independence, and respect for the natural world.
Because a prepared environment is not limited to the classroom.
It extends to every space where children can explore, discover, and grow.

BMEL’s little helpers 💪🏻
Every day, we see children naturally picking up small watering cans,
walking slowly over to the plants, and carefully watering them 🌱
Some children gently touch the leaves,
some carefully observe whether the plants look different today,
and some even remember:
“This one was watered yesterday.”
When children are trusted and given genuine opportunities to care for their environment,
they often become far more thoughtful and capable than we imagine 🤍
At BMEL, we hope children can gradually learn to care for themselves, care for their environment, and show kindness to the people around them.
These gentle little moments
are often quietly brought home by the children too 🌱

How do we say goodbye in the morning?
For many families,
Saying goodbye is the hardest part in the morning.
Sometimes we find ourselves lingering a little longer,
holding on for one more hug,
or turning back to check if everything is okay.
These feelings are completely natural 🤍
At BMEL,
we make sure each child is warmly received and supported as they arrive,
so families can feel more at ease as they head off 🌱
At the same time,
we gently support children through this transition.
Often, we notice when a goodbye is calm and steady,
children begin to settle more easily.
A simple “I’ll see you this afternoon”,
a clear hug and goodbye,
and giving children a little space to adjust these small moments can help them ease into their day 🤍
Every child needs a little time to settle,
and we are here with them,
supporting them through this process 🌱

With Sydney Montessori Training Centre – I just got recognised as one of their top fans! 🎉

We are honoured to partner with Sydney Montessori Training Centre as a placement environment for students undertaking the AMI 3–6 Diploma.
As part of the AMI training pathway, student teachers complete practical placements within authentic Montessori environments under the guidance of AMI-qualified mentors and leadership teams. This ensures future Montessori educators are supported through observation, practice, reflection, and professional mentorship grounded in the principles of AMI Montessori education.
We are privileged to contribute to this important work and to support the development of future Montessori professionals.
This week, Amy Kirkham, Director of Training at Sydney Montessori Training Centre, visited our environment as part of her supervision of current AMI Diploma students. Amy has trained and mentored many Montessori educators over the years, including members of our own leadership and teaching team.
Pictured with Amy are Ying Ying, our Centre Manager, and Serena, our Early Childhood Teacher, both AMI-trained educators.
We thank Amy and the Sydney Montessori Training Centre for their continued leadership and commitment to maintaining high standards in Montessori teacher education.
