Glowrey is taking part in the Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge. It is not a competition but a personal challenge for you to read a set number of books by 4th September 2026.
All the information and list of books will be online. A note will go home on seesaw with a link to all the information you need.
The challenge at Glowrey has now started.
Mrs Linda has put together books from the challenge list for you to borrow during your library lesson.
You can also borrow books from the public library and even from your home, if you happen to have one of the titles from the list.
So get reading guys. This will be a lot of fun. Mrs Italia and Mrs Dean will be keeping track of your progress.
All students who complete the challenge will get a certificate from the premier.
Good luck and happy reading everyone!
GEM CHATS 💬
– Hero of the Month
Tonight over dinner, we encourage you to chat with your family about your hero of the month - someone who has inspired you, supported you, or made a positive difference in your life recently.
Your hero could be a family member, friend, teacher, coach, neighbour, or anyone who has shown kindness, courage, or helped you through a challenge.
Some conversation starters:
⭐ Who is your hero of the month?
⭐ What did they do that inspired or helped you?
⭐ How did their actions make you feel?
⭐ What qualities do they have that you admire?
⭐ How can you show appreciation for them?
