The thing that nobody tells you about postpartum digestion, and why it changes everything about what you should be eating in those first few weeks.
Swipe through if you're currently pregnant, freshly postpartum or supporting someone who is...this one's worth saving.

The photo above is the origins of our Moroccan Lamb.
Slow-cooked in my trusty cast iron pot in the oven at home and shared with two fussy toddlers for feedback.
And moments like this are exactly where our recipes have all come from...family recipes passed down, experimentation in the home kitchen, or favourite ingredients imagined together by our Just Nourish team.
And so often, slow cooking is at the heart of it. There is something about a cast iron pot in the oven that feels like being taken care of. Like someone thought ahead for you. Love made edible.
These are the meals we grew up with, and it is such a joy to share them π€
Mother's Day is in 2 days. This year I'm coming to it a little tired - two kids, a growing business that never really clocks off, and a to-do list that I never seem to get on top of.
But also? This is the most grateful and at peace that I've ever felt.
My list of wants reflects where I'm at...
A coffee that's still hot. Five minutes (or longer) to myself. Someone else to cook dinner. And my two little people by my side.
To every mum out there - I hope this Sunday gives you exactly what you need. Whatever that looks like for you.
Happy (almost) Mother's Day π

The way good is grown and raised matters to us.
We prioritise organic wherever possible, work with growers using minimal-intervention practices, and choose grass-fed and free-range proteins.
A simple principle sits underneath it all:
If it's not something I'd serve to my own family, it won't make it into our meals.

We spend so much time preparing for birth.
Appointments, lists, thinking about the unknowns...
But recovery? It's often whatever we have the energy to piece together in the moment.
And yet, this is when your body is doing some of its most important work - healing, rebuilding, regulating, giving.
So you deserve more. Proper recovery shouldn't be a luxury, because you deserve the nourishment.

Been quiet on here....
And that's because we are super busy behind the scenes preparing new things to keep you warm and comforted during the colder months.
Can't wait to share more π

There is so much info out there about how to eat after birth.
The reality is that most of what you read isn't helpful.
Postpartum nutrition shouldn't be about roles, restriction or getting your body "back".
It's about supporting your recovery, stabilising your energy and giving your body what it needs to heal.
And then later on the reality of trying to do that in a way that actually fits with early motherhood.
There's something about the shift in the weather.
The air is cooling, the evenings are arriving earlier, and we start craving the warmer foods.
Slow-simmered stews with hearty vegetables. Meals that will warm you from the inside out.
The slow cooking season is arriving - it's our favourite season β€οΈ
The thing that surprised me most about motherhood was the mental load.
Not the big moments.
The everyday ones:
whatβs for dinner, what needs defrosting, what everyone will eat.
Meal planning was often the thing that tipped me over.
It sounds small.
But it rarely is. π€
