🌏 World Refugee Week | A Million Stories 🌏
At Hampton Park Secondary College, we proudly celebrate the rich diversity of our community and recognise the strength, resilience and contributions of refugees around the world. We recognise this years theme, "A Million Stories."
Every refugee has a unique story of courage, resilience, hope and determination. Together, these million stories remind us of the strength of the human spirit and the importance of creating communities where everyone feels safe, respected and valued.
As a proudly diverse school community, we celebrate the cultures, experiences and contributions of our students and families from refugee backgrounds. By listening, learning and standing together, we help create a place where every story matters and every person belongs.
Together, we honour A Million Stories and the many journeys that enrich our college and our community.
💙 Everyone deserves safety. Everyone deserves opportunity. Everyone deserves to belong.

On May 20, 2026, Dandenong High School hosted a Model United Nations event focused on the theme “Ending Violence Against Women.” It was an inspiring opportunity for students to represent different countries and share their perspectives on this important global issue.
Hampton Park Secondary College proudly represented Mexico and the United Kingdom with a brilliant team of eight students from Years 10, 11, and 12. We were accompanied by the wonderful Ms Elissa Noble and Mr Antil, who supported us throughout the day.

That's why every lesson at HPSC begins with an ‘Activate’ task as part of our Instructional Model. By retrieving prior knowledge, students strengthen their understanding, make new connections and improve long-term retention.
