I fought hard to convince my parents to let me move far away from home to chase my dreams. I'm studying something I'm passionate about, and most importantly, I have people back home who believe in me every step of the way.

The SCHADS Award caps Certificate and Diploma workers around Level 3 and 4. A degree unlocks Level 5 and above where the senior practitioner, case management, coordination, and leadership roles live.

4. You can work across every area of community services.
From housing and homelessness to family services, youth work, domestic violence, and aged care; a bachelor's degree gives you the freedom to work meaningfully across the full spectrum of the sector.

5. You become the one who changes the system.
Certificates train you to work within existing services. A degree trains you to evaluate them, improve them, and advocate for the communities who depend on them through research, policy, and leadership.

6. You become a recognized professional.
A bachelor's degree gives you the professional standing to work as a qualified community services practitioner with the credentials, ethical framework, and industry recognition that employers, clients, and communities trust.
