As one of our Centre Support Educators, Rashmin works across all rooms, supporting children and educators throughout the service. She is passionate about each child's learning, development, and wellbeing and strives to create a supportive environment where children feel safe, confident, and encouraged to learn and explore.
Outside of work, Rashmin enjoys spending time with family and friends, visiting the beach, and exploring new places.

🔢 Learning Through Numbers 🔢
Our kindergarten children recently participated in a fun hands-on numeracy experience that combined number recognition, counting, recording, and construction play.
Using dice, the children identified numbers, counted quantities, represented numbers with marks on paper, and used blocks to create their own unique structures. Through this engaging game, the children were developing important early mathematical skills while learning through play.
It was wonderful to see the children's excitement, confidence, and problem-solving skills shine as they counted, created, and explored numbers together!

🚦 Road Safety Incursion 🚦
A couple of weeks ago our kinder children participated in a fun and interactive Road Safety incursion, learning important safety messages such as Stop, Look, Listen, Think.
The children explored how to safely cross the road, the importance of wearing helmets, staying safe in the car, and recognising road safety signs such as traffic lights and zebra crossings.
We are so proud of the children's engagement and the wonderful knowledge they shared throughout the session!

Walking for Autism!
This May, Lauren has begun walking 7,000 steps a day to raise funds and awareness for Aspect (Autism Spectrum Australia), and many of our team members at Goodstart Early Learning Mooroolbark are now joining her in support.
Autism is something very close to our hearts, both within our centre community and beyond. Every day, we are reminded of the importance of creating inclusive, supportive, and understanding environments where every child feels safe, valued, and able to thrive.
Did you know that because the world is often not autism-friendly, 70% of Autistic people in Australia experience mental health challenges?
Funds raised through Walk for Autism help support earlier diagnosis, autism-specific schooling, research, and the creation of more inclusive and autism-friendly communities for Autistic individuals and their families.
If you would like to support this wonderful cause, any donation (big or small) would mean so much - https://www.walkforautism.org.au/fundraisers/laurenvandemaat78603/walk-for-autism
Thank you for helping us walk towards a more inclusive future.
