🦅 Meet Bunjil – created by our wonderful children for Reconciliation Week! 🦅
This week our little learners explored the story of Bunjil, the powerful Wedge-tailed Eagle and creator spirit in Aboriginal culture. They worked together to bring Bunjil to life using natural materials.
Through this activity, the children learned about respect for Country, the importance of storytelling in Aboriginal culture, and how nature can be used to create something truly special.

🦷 Our Dental Station has been buzzing with curiosity at Newbie Nest!
We set up a special learning corner all about teeth and our little ones have been absolutely fascinated. From exploring the parts of a tooth — enamel, dentin, pulp and root — to practising their brushing technique and reading Jawsome: A Brush Your Teeth Tale, the learning has been beautiful to watch. 💙
But the best part? Our children helped BUILD it! 🙌
Using recycled cardboard and plastic bottles, our little creators made and painted their very own teeth for the station — turning everyday materials into something truly special. Not only are they learning about dental health, they're also learning that creativity and sustainability go hand in hand. ♻️
"I brush my teeth every day!" — and yes, our children are proud of it! 😄
Healthy habits start early, and we love that our children are building confidence and knowledge around dental care in such a fun, hands-on and eco-friendly way. 🌟

🌊 Today we celebrated World Ocean Day at Newbie Nest!
Our little ones explored the wonders of the ocean through our beautiful sensory tray — complete with blue bubbly water, sea creatures, rocks, sand and some woods. Tiny hands reached in, curiosity sparked, and questions flowed just like the tide. 🐋

"We have to keep the ocean clean!"

🦕🌋 ROAR! Dinosaur Day at Newbie Nest was absolutely EPIC!
Our little palaeontologists stepped back in time today as we celebrated all things dinosaur! 🎉 The highlight of the day? Our very own volcano eruption experiment! 🌋
Our educators set up an amazing volcano using baking soda, food colouring, and vinegar — and the moment it erupted, the excitement in the room was absolutely priceless! 😄🧪 Wide eyes, big smiles, and so many happy squeals!
Science, sensory play, and SO much fun — all in one incredible day! 💛
