For Suchitha Raghunathan, building Microbeworks was never just about creating microbial dyes.
It was about asking a bigger question: Can science-led innovation truly reshape an industry as large and complex as global textiles?
Through the India-Australia Catalyst Program led by La Trobe University and the Bangalore Bio Innovation Corridor, Suchitha connected with founders, researchers, investors and industry leaders exploring how emerging technologies can move beyond research and into real-world impact.π€
Over 12 weeks, the program became a space to challenge ideas, rethink scale, and build meaningful cross-border connections.
βWinning the Catalyst program confirmed that our direction is strong,β Suchitha said.
Today, Microbeworks continues to contribute to growing conversations around sustainable alternatives across textiles and materials, while building partnerships within an increasingly connected global innovation ecosystem.
Applications are now open for the next IndiaβAustralia Catalyst cohort. Link available in the comment section below.π
