Feast of the Sacred Heart
"Wishing everyone a very happy Feast of the Sacred Heart."
(Saint Mary MacKillop 4.6.1893)
Today (12 June) we celebrate the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
As Sr Josephine Dubiel (Congregational Leader) shares, "with the name of the Congregation being Sisters of Saint Joseph of the Sacred Heart, Mary MacKillop had great devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, shared this with the Sisters, and also ensured the Sisters were actively engaged in ministries, particularly those that reached out to the poor and neglected."
For this special feast, view more of Sr Josephine's reflection referencing Pope Francis' Encyclical 'Dilexit Nos' and our Congregational co-founders here: www.sosj.org.au/feast-sacred-heart

School Leaders Chloe and Olivia had the opportunity to meet The Governor of NSW this month. Governor Margaret Beazley is a proud MSJ alumna who remembers her time at Milperra fondly. She recollected that students were regularly told that ‘MSJ girls can do anything’. The same message we continue to communicate!

Lest we forget the role that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders played in defending our country as members of the defence forces. Our First Nations students were proud representatives of MSJ at the remembrance service yesterday.
