Medals and Smiles
A big shout out to the Year 10 girls who won a Silver Medal at the recent Volleyball School Cup. This is a phenomenal effort by the girl and their super coach Zali Utting, as girls have only been able to train in the gym three times in the last 6 months.
A big congratulations to the year 10 boys on their effort missing out on medal match by only a handful of points. Year 10 boys lead by captain Fletcher Brown were terrific and were supported by 4 year 9 students who stepped up into the year 10 division and did the college and themselves super proud.
A huge congrats also to Raffi Brown who won the MVP for the year 10 boys which is voted on by other players from the division.
A big shout out Campbell and new student teacher Claudia who helped me immensely throughout the 3 day event.
As always Monbulk College students were acknowledged for them effort on and off the court by numerous spectators, officials and other school staff

Who said History had to be boring? ๐โจ
The best learning happens when youโre up, moving, and out of your seat! Our Year 11 History students turned the classroom into a giant collaborative workshop, working in teams to create a mega timeline and concept map of key events, important figures, and major ideas โ all the way from the Russian Revolution to the outbreak of WWII. ๐๐
Big ideas, big teamwork, and every inch of the whiteboard covered in History! ๐

Assembly
What a fantastic way to kick off our first whole school assembly back in the gym!
The energy, school spirit and student leadership on display today was incredible. From outstanding musical performances to our student leaders confidently running the assembly, it was a celebration of everything that makes our college such a great community.
We proudly celebrated the amazing achievements from this yearโs sports carnivals, with Valley House taking out an incredible clean sweep, winning Swimming, Cross Country and Athletics.
We also recognised the huge success of our Do It For Dolly Day fundraiser, acknowledged the fantastic work of our Sustainability Team, promoted the importance of Reconciliation Week and shared excitement for our upcoming school production.
A massive congratulations to all students who received a:
โข Merit of Excellence
โข Merit of Responsibility
โข Merit of Respect
Your hard work, positive attitude and commitment to our school values continue to make us proud every day.
It was amazing to have the gym buzzing with positivity again!
Do it For Dolly Day- What an incredible effort from our school community!
On Friday 8th May, students and staff came together for our blue free dress day in support of Do It For Dolly Day, raising awareness about bullying and cyberbullying, and promoting kindness and positive connections.
The school raised over $550 for the Dolly's Dream Foundation - the most our school has ever raised through a free dress day!
Together, we can continue to spread the message to be kind, speak up, and support one another. ๐
