The battle for the 2026 Creeker Cup is about to enter its final and most exciting chapter as Mountain Creek State High School prepares for the annual Track & Field Carnival on Friday 17 July.
Following the Swimming Carnival and Cross Country events, students will once again have the opportunity to represent their SubSchool in a day filled with competition, participation, fun and school spirit.
This year's theme is "Island of Origin", inspired by the passion and rivalry of State of Origin and the returning of our carnival to home soil, being held at Mountain Creek State High School. Students are encouraged to wear their SubSchool colours with pride and represent their island in what promises to be an epic showdown.
With valuable Creeker Cup points on offer, every event counts. Students can compete for Age Champion honours, participate in championship and novelty events, and complete activities in the Super Fitness Passport. There will also be prizes, challenges and plenty of opportunities for students of all abilities to contribute to their SubSchool's success.
This yearโs Track & Field Carnival will be of the highlights of the school year, bringing students together through healthy competition, physical activity and a strong sense of belonging.
Whether you are chasing a personal best, supporting your mates, or proudly wearing your SubSchool colours, there is a place for everyone at the carnival.
The question remains: Can the Bribie Island Bears hold on to their Creeker Cup lead, or will one of the other islands rise to claim the trophy?

What a legendary night!
A huge thank you to everyone who attended our 2026 MADD Trivia Night and helped make it such a fantastic success.
From mythical costumes and fiercely contested trivia rounds to live performances, games and plenty of laughter, it was wonderful to see our community come together in support of Creative Industries.
A special congratulations to all of the students who performed, hosted, volunteered and helped bring the evening to life. Your talent, creativity and hard work were on full display.
We would also like to thank our staff, families and community members for their support. Events like these are only possible because of the many people who generously give their time and energy behind the scenes.
Funds raised from the evening will help support future Creative Industries projects and opportunities for our students.
Thank you for helping us prove that myths and legends are still worth telling.

What an incredible World's Greatest Shave!
On Wednesday, our Mountain Creek SHS community came together to support the Leukaemia Foundation through our annual World's Greatest Shave event.
A huge congratulations to our four students and two staff members who bravely shaved or cut their hair for the cause. Their willingness to step outside their comfort zones helped raise both funds and awareness for those impacted by blood cancer.
Thank you to everyone who donated, purchased from our bake sale and sausage sizzle, cheered on our participants, and helped make the event such a success. We are also proud that proceeds from our Morning Tea activities will support , helping local Sunshine Coast families affected by cancer.
Events like these remind us of the generosity, courage and community spirit that make Mountain Creek SHS such a special place. Thank you to everyone who got involved and helped make a difference.
