Congratulations to Maryanne Wick, winner of the 2026 King's School Art Prize
Inspired by a residency in Spain, Maryanne’s work The Museum draws on 3,000-year-old Iberian artefacts, capturing their history and quiet resilience. The piece has now been permanently acquired for the School’s collection.
The Art Prize is made possible through the generosity and dedication of the Prep Fathers Association, who play a key role in bringing the event to life each year. It is a wonderful reflection of what our community can achieve together.
This year’s Exhibition Gala Dinner brought together artists, families, galleries and members of the School leadership, including the Headmaster, Chair of Council and Head of Prep, along with former Heads of Prep. It was a memorable evening celebrating both art and community.
Congratulations to all the boys who were recognised with awards, and thank you to the Fathers Association, contributing artists and galleries, and everyone who made the evening so special.

Last Friday, students walked the campus with purpose, raising funds to support our four Compassion children while learning more about their lives.
As part of the walk‑a‑thon, students made their way across campus, reflecting at each checkpoint on the experiences of the School’s sponsored children, Juliet, Kairus, Aylith and Ren‑Ren. These moments encouraged a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by these children and their families.
From fundraising through to reflection, every step made a meaningful difference, supporting vital programs that provide education, healthcare, food and clean water to communities in need.
We are incredibly proud of our boys for their compassion, generosity and commitment to helping others.

We thank The King’s School community for the outstanding support of the Hoodies for Humanities Clothing Collection.
The generous donations of hoodies, tracksuits, blankets and other winter essentials collected have been received by the School’s longstanding partners, St John’s Anglican Rough Edges and St Vincent de Paul, where they are already making a meaningful impact.
A particular thank you goes to the Year 12 Service Learning Leaders, who contributed their time and effort to sort and pack the donations. Their leadership ensured the initiative was carried out with care and efficiency.
