In Inquiry, we have been busy turning our learning into biome dioramas!

Students have been exploring habitats, biomes, and the adaptations that help plants and animals survive. They then chose a biome from rainforest, tundra, desert, forest, grassland or aquatic to recreate.

In 34D, students created a Canva presentation on animals. They read and wrote about their habitat, diet, adaptations, survival, prey and predators. They did an amazing job.

Last week our 5/6 students headed off to Gala Day. They participated in soccer and netball, and as usual the team spirit and attitudes of our NPS students was wonderful to see. It was a fantastic day with some strong competition. Below are some photos from the soccer

Last week 3/4 students had an amazing time at Healesville Sanctuary, supporting their classroom learning topic, Biology. Students have been studying animal features, life cycles, and ecosystems. We had so much fun!

Last week, the 5/6 students went on school camp to Lady Northcote, in Glenmore. Everyone had a wonderful time. They rotated through activities like the giant swing, bike-riding, low ropes, and team-building exercises. The 5/6 teachers also ran a trivia night, and movie night (as pictured). Everyone had a great time and were all excited to get back for some well-needed rest!

The 1/2s are busy working on creating clay coral reefs. Students are exploring textured while sculpting their rocks, coral, seaweed, and underwater animals.

The 5/6s are underway creating clay key holders. Students are exploring hand building techniques while adding, texture, details, and hooks to their key holders.
