Breakfast Club Upgrade! ✨

Our Thursday Breakfast Club (outside D12) has had a fresh new look, and students are loving it! 🙌

With new décor and a brighter setup, it was lovely to hear students saying, “we’ve had an upgrade!” Many have shared how much they appreciate the new elements.

Students are welcome stop by Breakfast Club every Thursday before school for a warm welcome and a toastie, ensuring a great start to the day!

🏐 Our netball girls were amazing at the recent Champion School's Tournament held at The Gold Netball Centre. Through the torrential rain the girl's remained positive and showed true grit with their competitive nature and fantastic sportsmanship.

Reminder: Pupil Free Day Tuesday, 16 June

A reminder that students do not attend school on Tuesday, 16 June due to Student Progress Meetings.

The exception is for Year 10 families who have booked Pathway Planning Meetings, students are required to attend these appointments.

After a long period out of action, the Ocean Reef SHS electronic sign is back!

Our old sign had faithfully served the school for many years before finally retiring, and we're excited to have a brand-new electronic sign keeping our community updated with school news, events and celebrations.

Keep an eye on the sign next time you drive past, it might just have something exciting to share! 💙

🎓 Thank You for Supporting the 2026 ORSHS Careers Expo 🎓

A huge thank you to all the exhibitors, industry representatives, training providers and organisations who attended our 2026 ORSHS Careers Expo.

The evening provided a fantastic opportunity for students and families to explore future pathways, ask questions, and gain valuable insights into careers, apprenticeships, TAFE, university and employment opportunities.

It was wonderful to see so many students, parents and community members in attendance, with meaningful conversations taking place throughout the evening as students began planning their future pathways.

Congratulations to our VET and Workplace Learning team, Ms Nicholson and Ms Feist, on delivering such a successful event. Their hard work and dedication in coordinating the expo and bringing together a diverse range of exhibitors created a valuable opportunity for our students and families.

Thank you to everyone who contributed their time, knowledge and expertise to support our students as they explore the many pathways available to them. 👏

📅 Student Progress Meetings – Bookings Open Tonight

A reminder to families that bookings for our upcoming Student Progress Meetings (Years 7–12) open tonight (Tuesday 9 June) at 6:00pm.

These meetings will take place on Thursday 16 June (student free day) and provide a valuable opportunity to discuss your child’s progress with their teachers.

For Year 10 students, there are also limited Pathway Planning meeting appointments available during the Student Progress Meetings. These will also be available to book via Booked.

Student Environment Club Plastic Free Morning Tea 🌍🌿

The Plastic Free Morning Tea was held in Fremantle, where we participated in activities with many other Waste Accredited Schools to promote World Environment Day 2026!

We also listened to some excellent speakers, including the Minister for Environment, Matthew Swinbourn MLC, and the founder of Plastic Free July, Rebecca Prince-Ruiz. It was a fun morning of learning and sharing ideas about sustainable living in Western Australia.

At Ocean Reef, we are dedicated to growing our efforts and making more sustainable choices.
