Nido Early School Maylands

We’re excited to share that Blue Rocket Therapy will be visiting Nido Maylands to provide on‑site early intervention support for our families.

If you would like your child to have an Early Years Development Screening, Blue Rocket Therapy is offering a special rate of $69 per child for a 45‑minute assessment.
This fee is paid directly by families.

One of the biggest benefits is convenience — no travel required. Their therapists will come directly to Nido Maylands to complete the assessment. After the session, families will receive a full report from Blue Rocket Therapy.

Learning About Caring for Our Environment at Nido Maylands 🌿

This week, our children and educators had a wonderful experience with the City of Bayswater in partnership with Environment House.
We enjoyed an information session all about waste sorting and why it is important to look after our planet. The children also learnt about worm farms, how they work, and how to care for them. We are very excited to share that we now have our very own worm farm installed at our centre.
A big thank you to Miss Lara and Miss Julie for being such beautiful representatives and for giving our children this amazing learning opportunity. Their kindness and knowledge made the day very special.

A nurse visit plays a vital role in early childhood education. It helps identify developmental needs at an early stage, supports children's health and wellbeing, provides guidance for families, and ensures that children receive the right support at the right time. Early intervention can make a significant difference in a child's learning journey, confidence, and successful transition into school.
We are incredibly fortunate to have Miss Monique visit our centre every month. Her dedication, expertise, and genuine care for children and families are truly invaluable. Working closely alongside our Curriculum Leader, Miss Veronica, they form a remarkable team committed to creating positive outcomes for every child.
Together, Miss Monique and Miss Veronica work tirelessly to support successful transitions, implement early intervention strategies, and foster an inclusive environment where every child can thrive.

Today at Nido Maylands, we celebrated World Ocean Day by exploring the beauty and importance of our oceans. Through creative activities, meaningful conversations, and moments of discovery, the children learned how every small action can help protect our blue planet and with dress ups .
Their curiosity, imagination, and care for the natural world reminded us that even the smallest hands can make a big difference. Together, we celebrated the wonder of the ocean and the incredible creatures that call it home. 🌊🐠💙
