International Picnic Day

Our Toddlers had a small picnic with their babies. This make-believe experience inspires children to explore their imagination, participate in social interactions and build on their cognitive abilities.

For National Sushi Day, the Kindy children participated in a culinary class with Chef Kevin.

Making Sushi not only broadens their knowledge of different cultural foods but also develops hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.

Setting up intentional open-ended play spaces supports children's natural curiosity. Children become active co-researchers, which fosters critical thinking, exploration and sustained shared thinking.

After experiencing stormy weather over the weekend, our Toddlers decided to help collect leaves for our play experiences while cleaning up their yard.

Our natural environments, which we have created here at Wanneroo, support children's growth and development in all areas of their learning journey.

Learning about different cultures starts right from a young age. Our Nursery children enjoyed some play dough using the beautiful bold colours of the Aboriginal flag.

Open-ended art focuses on process over an end product.

It allows children the freedom to be creative, have choice, and learn problem-solving skills through experimentation 🎨

Collage

Our Tiny Tots have been exploring the creative art of collage. These experiences develop their fine motor skills, language building, and promote creative self-expression.

From 27 May to 3 June, we come together to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every day.

Reconciliation starts with all of us, including our youngest learners. Through moments of curiosity, storytelling, music, art and connection, children begin to build understanding, respect and a sense of belonging.

Because every small conversation, shared experience and learning moment helps us to build towards a more inclusive future, together.
