On Wednesday it was Thank a First Responder Day.

The children enjoyed colouring pictures and writing messages of thanks to the South Coogee Volunteer Bushfire Brigade 🔥🚒🧑‍🚒

Evie baked some delicious cookies and together with her mum, who works for DFES and is also a first responder, delivered them to the firefighters. They personally thanked the volunteers for their bravery, strength and dedication to keeping our community safe 💪🍪

The firefighters were delighted by the children's kindness and have promised to visit us soon 👏

A big thank you to Evie and her mum for their thoughtful contribution and an even bigger thank you to all our first responders for the incredible work they do every day ❤️🥰🙏

On Wednesday 27th May, our children participated in the National Simultaneous Story Time, reading "Luna Roo, the Kangaroo Baller" together, followed by some football and hopping games. The story follows the spirited Kangaroo Luna Roo as she chases her football dreams across the outback and rises to a challenge with heart, courage, teamwork and resilience. An inspiring message for us all.🦘⚽ 🥰

Last week, we said a very sad goodbye to our wonderful educator, Sue, who has retired after almost 24 years of dedicated service at Lollipops🥲

Sue, thank you for your many years of hard work and commitment. From your early days cooking for the children to later completing your Cert 111 and becoming a wonderful educator, you have touched the lives of so many🙏

Thank you for the love, laughter, care, and support you have shared with us over the years. Your kindness and dedication have made a lasting impact on our children, families, and team🥰

You will be greatly missed Sue but never forgotten! We wish you all the very best for your retirement ❤️

Over 3 decades, Lili has been a constant source of care, kindness and strength - touching the lives of so many children, families and educators along the way. From her early days working as a room leader, through to her current role as a director, Lili has always led with her heart. Her dedication, patience and genuine love for what she does, have helped shape not just a centre, but a community where children feel safe, supported and valued.
