Thank you to all of our wonderful families that donated and shared! Mammoth effort by all of Buttercups!
Thanks to your generosity, we raised $21,836 for Cancer Council Australia during Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea! This year, Buttercups boosted every dollar raised so that each $1 became $5, up to $5,000 in donations. Together, we’ve made a meaningful impact in the fight against cancer. Thank you to everyone who donated and helped make this possible💙

African Animals “beware of the Wild Animals”
Our tulips children explored a sensory African Animals tray! Together with the educators children looked at the features of the animals, spoke about the sounds they make and stomped the animals around the Savannah habitat. 🐅🐅🐘🐘
Sensory trays provide children with hands-on tactile play that builds nerve connections in the brain which supports holistic development. Sensory trays also promote opportunities for cooperative play where children learn to share, take turns and communicate with each other.

National Reconciliation week ( 27th May- 3rd June)
This years National Reconciliation week theme, ALL IN encourages all Australian’s to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation in their everyday actions and relationships.
Throughout Reconciliation Week, the children at Buttercups Wandi were provided with meaningful opportunities to engage in experiences that fostered awareness, respect, and appreciation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. Children participated in a variety of activities, including collaborative group artworks, sensory experiences, story-time sessions, and learning discussions exploring meanings and significance of Aboriginal symbols.
These experiences supported children in developing an understanding of Australia’s First Nations peoples, cultures, and histories, while promoting inclusivity, respect, and a sense of belonging within our learning community.

🐝🌼 Happy World Bee Day! 🌼🐝
Today our little learners explored the wonderful world of bees through hands-on sensory play! From scooping and pouring in our bee-themed sensory bins to discovering how busy bees help our flowers grow, the children had a buzzing good time. 💛🖤
Sensory play encourages curiosity, fine motor development, creativity, and imaginative learning — all while having fun! We loved watching the children explore textures, colours, and nature-inspired activities together. 🌸🍯
Bee kind, bee curious, and bee happy! 🐝✨
