Classroom 5 explored their environment through the lens of our cameras. It was wonderful to observe the interactions between the children as they role-modelled taking photos of one another and captured images of different objects around the room. The conversations that emerged during these moments were lovely to listen to and helped promote language development, communication skills, and social connections as the children shared ideas, asked questions, and engaged with one another. 📸📷

Worm Farm Adventures 🪱
Our worm farm continues to be a huge favourite among the children in Classrooms 4 and 5. The children take great pride in caring for our worms each day, developing a strong sense of responsibility and respect for living things.
Through hands-on experiences with the worm farm, the children are learning about sustainability, composting, and how worms help our environment. Today, the children enthusiastically assisted Tandin in creating another level for our worm farm. They worked together to break apart a soil block before carefully transferring the soil into the worm farm.
These meaningful experiences encourage teamwork, problem-solving, and an understanding of sustainable practices, while fostering curiosity about the natural world around them. The children were excited to contribute to the care and growth of our worm farm and look forward to continuing their learning journey with our wriggly friends. 🪱🌱

The children explored the soft and squishy texture using their hands and fingers, carefully patting, squeezing and watching how the gloop moved and changed. Sensory experiences like this help support our babies’ curiosity, fine motor development and confidence as they learn through touch and play. There were lots of smiles, giggles and messy fun throughout the experience!
