“Research shows that anyone can learn to sing in tune.“ Those that sing out of tune have most likely never trained to map the notes they hear to the sounds they make. “Listen, think (of the note) then sing” is what Marian, vocal tutor, likes to tell her students. In this video, you’ll find one of the pitch exercises she uses to target the correct note.

Name that tune!! This piece, included in Trinity Classical and Jazz Grade 1 repertoire, is a popular choice by young learners . Various techniques are learnt in this pop song arranged for piano by Hussey, including melodic independence, rhythmic accuracy (syncopation) and dynamics. Did you sing along? The Trinity Classical & Jazz syllabus include extensive repertoire of classical, contemporary, and jazz music. These mix styles make the lesson more fun and engaging.
