SPECIAL ISSUE
Visual Pedagogies and Innovative Assessment
This Special Issue welcomes papers that explore creative, multimodal, and visually oriented approaches to teaching and assessment. It seeks to highlight how visual pedagogies can enrich learning experiences and transform assessment practices across educational contexts. We particularly invite contributions that examine the role of visual and creative methods in supporting reflective, inclusive, and transformative learning. We welcome pre-service and practicing teachers, instructional designers, educational technologists, and other practitioners in developing their video-based or visually creative projects into short scholarly articles that illustrate the potential of visual media in educational practice.

Conference Theme: Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Relational Pedagogy
This inclusive theme aims to highlight the diverse ways in which different fields - from education and health to social sciences, the arts and beyond - understand and apply the importance of human relationships in teaching and learning. Together, we aim to deepen our understanding of how relational approaches can enrich educational practice, foster inclusion and support meaningful connections across diverse contexts and continents.
This is the first time the Network conference has been held in Australia and we are looking forward to having vibrant and thought provoking conversations with practitioners, academics and friends new and old.
