From the Big Apple to the Bay State, Penrhosians can be found making their mark all over the US 🇺🇸

As part of her sabbatical, Principal Kalea Haran was delighted to reconnect with alumni living and working in New York and Boston, hearing firsthand about their journeys beyond Penrhos.

Congratulations to Dr Anna Kelly (Class of 2012) who has been awarded the Bryan Hudson Medal by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) for the best overall performance in both the Written and Clinical Examinations.

Dr Kelly, who was a boarder at Penrhos, credits both her rural background and rural training experiences for shaping the values, skills and confidence that supported her success.

“I feel very fortunate to have had such strong support from my family, who prioritised education and instilled in me a strong work ethic."

Once a country kid, always a country kid 🤠

Growing up on a farm near Moora, Dr Anna Kelly has always had a passion for country healthcare.

She reckons her rural upbringing and training throughout the South West and Great Southern has helped set her up for success - and we couldn't agree more!

She's just been awarded the Bryan Hudson Medal by the The Royal Australasian College of Physicians for the best overall performance in both written and clinical examinations for her Basic Physician Training.

Alum-Mums at the Mother Daughter Dinner ✨

It was a true full-circle moment for some of our alumnae recently, as they attended one of the College’s most loved traditions with their daughters.

Proudly supported by the Alumni Association, the evening began with a warm welcome from President Cally Hannah before a room full of girls and their mums and mother figures enjoyed a night of laughter and dancing.

Principal Kalea Haran will be visiting Boston in June ahead of the International Girls’ Schools Conference and would love to take the opportunity to connect with Penrhos alumni in the area.
