Nido Early School Wandi

Earlier this week, our Kinder children at Nido Early School Wandi had the wonderful opportunity to give back to our local community by donating some beautiful books and handmade bookmarks to The Olive Tree Street Library - Wandi📚✨

Each bookmark was lovingly designed and created by the children. They who were so excited to share their artwork and kindness with others.

If you happen to pick up one of the bookmarks, we hope it brings a smile to your face and makes your next reading adventure even more special. 💛

Thank you for creating and maintaining this beautiful community library, where people of all ages can discover the magic of books, connect with one another, and foster a love of reading. It is such a treasured resource for our suburb, and we are grateful to be able to contribute in a small way.

🍃 Bruny Park 🍃

Today we had our weekly visit to Bruny Park!

While it was a little shorter than our usual visits, we were so excited to bring some of our Kinder Classroom 5 friends for the first time. Our Kinder Classroom 6 children taught them how to be safe on the walk to and from and while at the park! 👷‍♀️

Today in our Atelier art classes, our Kinder friends showed how competent and capable they were in this space 🎨 With confidence they gathered their own clay boards for the table and then began experimenting with learning the new skill of cutting their very own clay using special clay cutting tools.

C “I’m going to make 3, now I have 3!” 3️⃣

Today we warmed up the clay by rolling and squishing. This prompted lots of creations being discovered and shared with excitement.

We are so proud to partner with Pharmacy 777 Cockburn to offer a flumist vaccination drop in session for our families today 💕

We believe it takes a village to raise a child and hope by offering services such as vaccination, dentist visits and speech pathologist check ins on site at Nido Wandi that this assists our families to access these services in a familiar space, comfortable for the children, and helps ease the pressure of trying to find and access these services independently ❤️

Much like our connections to community and our land, our gross motor skills and our confidence are growing with each park excursion visit! 🍃

The children ask with pride to be photographed to share their progress with their loved ones as they enjoy the many challenges and learning opportunities the park brings 📸

We are so excited to announce that we will be hosting art classes in our Atelier! 🎨

Join us as we explore different art mediums each week, starting on Tuesday the 16th of June with clay skilling and nature treasure exploration as we learn about the Noongar season Makaru 💙

Children who attend on Tuesday are already booked in to join the fun! 💕
