Meet Andrew, our Wholesale Development Manager - although around here, his role goes far beyond a job title.

You’ll often find him in-store, hosting coffee tastings and helping our cafe partners discover the perfect fit for their customers. On other days, he's out on the road visiting cafes, checking in with our partners, making deliveries, troubleshooting issues, or lending a hand wherever it's needed.

Andrew genuinely cares about the people behind every cup. He's always ready to listen, share his knowledge, and support our clients through every stage of their journey. But it's not just our customers who benefit from his dedication. He's the kind of teammate who lifts up every department, helping the whole LBM family grow together.

Because great partnerships aren't built on products alone. They're built on people who show up, go the extra mile, and care deeply about the success of others.

Thanks for everything you do, Andrew.

Introducing Karvan Seasonal Blend 1:
A bold and expressive cup celebrating the best of Vietnam, Guatemala, and Honduras. Expect maple syrup, baker's cocoa, and warming spice, with a lingering sweetness and beautifully balanced depth.

Vietnam Son La SC16 | Washed
Grown at 600–1,050 metres in Son La's mountainous terrain, selectively picked and meticulously washed for a clean, structured cup with green apple, warm spice, orange, and herbal notes.

Guatemala Finca El Durazno | Washed
Five generations of the Castillo family have farmed these volcanic highlands of Santa Rosa since 1893, producing coffees bright with red apple, lime, and soft stone fruits.

Honduras Mario Mejía | Natural
Second-generation farmer Mario Mejía tends three microclimates across the misty highlands of La Paz, delivering naturally processed lots rich in dark chocolate, jammy apple, and mild caramel.

This beautifully balanced blend delivers a spiced warmth with just the right sweetness to keep you coming back.

We're excited to shine a spotlight on one of our café partners, Last Crumb Cake Co — a Bassendean favourite that's earned a loyal following across Perth for good reason.

Founded by husband-and-wife team Grant and Lyndsay, Last Crumb Cake Co is the result of years of passion, hard work, and a shared commitment to quality. After operating a mobile coffee business since 2009, Grant took the leap into a permanent café space, while Lyndsay brought her love of exceptional food and attention to detail into every corner of the business.

Our wholesale manager Andrew has known Grant for many years, so partnering together felt like a natural progression when the opportunity arose to serve our coffee alongside their incredible food offering.

From beautifully crafted celebration cakes and hearty gourmet pies to freshly baked cinnamon scrolls and inventive pastries, everything at Last Crumb is made with genuine care. We're thrilled that Karvan coffee is now part of the experience.

If you haven't visited yet, you'll find them at 77 West Road, Bassendean. Drop in, meet the team, and treat yourself. It's the kind of place you'll want to return to again and again.

Nothing better than hearing this.
Eleanor visited our cafe partner Rejuv8 Café at SCGH and called it the best coffee she's had. Huge thanks to the team at Rejuv8 for serving it right and to Eleanor for the lovely words.

Every year, Lisa heads out to El Questro & Lake Argyle to visit our wholesale customers in the Kimberley.

It's not just a check-in. It's hands-on barista training, single origin education, and making sure every cup served out there meets the same standard as any great café in the city.

Because our commitment to our café partners doesn't stop at the bag.

Why weighing your coffee is a game-changer whether you're brewing at home or running a café.

It comes down to one word: CONSISTENCY

Every bag of coffee is different. Grind size, humidity, and roast level all affect how dense your grounds are – meaning a scoop that works perfectly on Monday might taste completely different by Friday. Volume lies. Weight doesn't.

When you dial in your dose (the dry coffee in) and your yield (the liquid espresso out), you're not just making a good cup, you're making the "same" good cup every single time.

For home brewers, it means no more guessing. No more "Why does this taste flat today?"

For a café owner, it's even more critical. Your customers return because they trust that the flat white they loved last Tuesday will taste exactly the same today. That consistency is your quality standard, and your quality standard is what builds loyalty. A good set of scales is definitely the best investment you'll make in your coffee routine.

Weigh your dose. Weigh your yield. Repeat.
