Nestory makes history โšฝ๐Ÿฅ…

Former Grovelands Primary School student Nestory Irankunda etched his name into history as the youngest Socceroos player to score at a FIFA World Cup over the weekend.

The 20-year-old was named the Player of the Match for his tremendous World Cup debut in Australia's 2-0 win over Turkiye.

Congratulations to Butler College graduate Kira Landuyt, winner of The West Australian Pulse 2026 Editorโ€™s Choice Award for her artwork Dear Saigon, From, Ho Chi Minh.

Kiraโ€™s work explores themes of heritage, prosperity, loss and identity, drawing on her Vietnamese background and inspired by traditional Vietnamese lacquer painting.

The West Australian Pulse exhibition showcases 63 works by 2025 Year 12 visual arts graduates from 43 schools across WA and is on display at the Art Gallery of Western Australia until 13 September 2026.
