YEAR 6 OPTUS AND WACA EXCURSION
As part of our Design and Technologies learning program, Year 6 students visited Optus Stadium and the WACA to investigate how large sporting venues use key design features such as seating arrangements, accessibility, crowd movement, safety considerations, structural elements and aesthetic design. The knowledge gained from the excursion will be applied to students' own stadium design and construction projects this term. We were granted VIP access to the players changerooms, warm up area, media and corporate boxes and sat pitch side on the interchange bench. We were also the first tour in WA to go through the newly redeveloped WACA ground, including their indoor nets. What a day!
