📍ALL EYES ON OPTUS: While Perth Stadium is firmly the focus of football tonight, our Year 9 Outdoor Education students have been charting their own course around it.
As they prepare for next week's WA State Orienteering Championships, St George's students have been honing their navigation and teamwork skills around the stadium - so fortunate to have learning environments like this right on our doorstep.
Best of luck to all students competing next week! May the best team win!

⚛DEEP DIVE: Many thanks to Professor Stephen Moggach at UWA's School of Molecular Sciences, who hosted a practical session for our Year 12 Chemistry students yesterday. The experience gave our soon-to-be graduates a glimpse of where their knowledge could take them. And to top off a memorable day, each student received their own lab coat and safety glasses — a sign of possibilities to come.

👣CITY CLASSROOM: Another day, another adventure into all corners of the city.
This week students have visited the Supreme Court for HASS, Planet Books in Northbridge for English and completed Inspired Minds activities at the Art Gallery of WA and Museum Boola Bardip while exploring the ever-changing street art scene.
It's one of the advantages of learning in the heart of the city.

🧩PUZZLE POWERHOUSE: Most competitors would be thrilled with one podium finish. St George's student Zara came home with three.
Our Year 12 student delivered a remarkable performance at the WA State Jigsaw Puzzle Competition, placing first in the singles event, second in the pairs competition alongside her mum, and third in the team event with school friends Sophie and Jade.
Competing against more than 120 teams and 500 participants, Zara, Jade and Sophie completed a 1,000-piece puzzle in just one hour and six minutes to secure their place on the podium. Teamwork can take you a long way.

👖BLUE JEANS, BIG GOALS: There was a sea of denim today as our students and staff showed up in style for a great cause
Through gold coin donations, our community raised $416.35 in support of our Central Park Plunge team — eight brave staff and Year 12 students preparing to abseil 130m down Central Park Tower this November. Donations are still open via the link: https://jeans-for-the-jump.raiselysite.com/

💗AFTER SCHOOL SOUNDS: What better way to spend a rainy afternoon than learning the National Anthem and the theme from Jurassic Park? Our Concert Band brings together students from across the school who share a love of music and performance, playing music specially written for their instrumentation.
It's just one of several co-curricular music opportunities on offer at St George's. From performances at major school events to the simple joy of making music together, there's a place for everyone in our music program.

👖JEANS FOR THE JUMP : Following the generosity of our recent Free Dress for Samoa fundraiser (raising over $900 for All Saints school Samoa 👏), St George’s is continuing its charity fundraising streak this Friday.
Students can wear jeans with their uniform in exchange for a gold coin donation to aid our Central Park Plunge team. Eight staff and students will abseil 130m down Central Park Tower in Term Four, working towards an $8,800 goal in support of Anglicare WA.

💃🏿YOU CAN DANCE: Mamma Mia! was front and centre of Chapel today, with impromptu singing, cast and crew interviews and a lively address from director Miss McGaw. Her message was simple: The Arts don't just enrich life at St George's — they help define it. Our annual production will light up the Regal Theatre from 6–8 August and, with more than 1,000 tickets already sold, excitement is building fast.
