Would your fire equipment work when it's needed?
Fire extinguishers, fire blankets and hose reels are found in workplaces across Australia, but many people don't realise they require routine inspection, function testing and tagging to remain compliant and ready for use.
A test and tags are a recorded service history that confirms the unit has been inspected, tested and assessed against the relevant requirements.
Under AS 1851, portable fire equipment requires routine servicing at scheduled intervals, with employers responsible for ensuring this maintenance is completed.
For those looking to enter the fire protection industry, our Fire Equipment Test & Tag course covers the inspection, testing and tagging of portable fire equipment, including extinguishers, fire blankets and hose reels.
