π₯£ Today, Classroom 1 had a wonderful time making their own porridge! With support from educators, the children helped prepare the ingredients, mix everything together, and watched as their porridge was cooked. This hands-on experience encouraged independence, confidence, and participation while introducing important life skills.

Soccer Fever in Classroom 2 β½
With the excitement of the World Cup capturing attention around the world, the children in Classroom 2 explored a special World Cup tray and enjoyed reading Luna Roo together.
As they discovered different flags from participating countries, the children shared their observations about colours, shapes, and symbols, sparking conversations about the many cultures and communities that make up our world. Through play and storytelling, they celebrated diversity while building their understanding of global connections.
This experiences support children's understanding that everyone belongs and that our differences should be celebrated and respected.

Celebrating World Ocean Day at Nido Treeby! π π’π
On Monday, our children explored the wonders of the ocean through meaningful conversations, creative experiences, and hands-on learning. Together, we discovered why our oceans are so important and how we can help care for them by protecting marine life and keeping our beaches and waterways clean.
By nurturing respect and responsibility for the natural world, we are helping children become caring stewards of our environment. π π’π

Today we celebrated World Environment Day at Nido Treeby. Our children from Classroom 2 embarked on a nature treasure hunt, exploring the yard to discover colourful leaves, flowers, and other natural treasures. Using their special finds, they created beautiful nature vases, proudly showcasing their creativity and connection with the natural world.
This experience supported the EYLF Outcome 4: Children are confident and involved learners, as children explored, investigated, and experimented with materials from their environment.
It also links to the Nido Kindergarten Curriculum β Learning Branch 6: Creativity, where children use a variety of mediums to create representations of their learning, ideas, and discoveries.

π¦π¦ Feathered Fun in Classroom 5! π¦π¦
This week, our little learners continued exploring farm animals with feathers through a duck pond sensory experience. The children discovered where ducks live, listened to the sounds they make, and explored the soft texture of feathers.
Dressed in their special water suits, the children splashed, poured, squeezed, and mixed water as they immersed themselves in hands-on learning and sensory exploration. Through these experiences, children developed their curiosity, coordination, and understanding of the world around them while having lots of fun.
This learning links to the Nido Infant & Toddler Curriculum β Learning Branch 2: Confident Learners, supporting children to show interest in new objects, people, and experiences as they explored the duck pond environment with enthusiasm and curiosity.

Celebrating National Reconciliation Week
This week, the children explored the importance of caring for Country through a meaningful nature walk around our playground. Together, they collected native leaves, seed pods, bark, flowers, and small wooden sticks while learning about how Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, the Traditional Owners of the land, have cared for and connected with Country for thousands of years.
Through hands-on exploration and meaningful conversations, the children developed a deeper appreciation for nature, respect for the land, and understanding of the rich cultural knowledge passed down through generations.
We are proud to support children in building connections, respect, and awareness during National Reconciliation Week. β€οΈπ€π

We are proud to share that our Australiaβs Biggest Morning Tea was a success, raising $178.30 for Cancer Council Australia!

π¦·β¨ Dental Visit at Nido Treeby Today! β¨π¦·
Today our little learners had a wonderful experience exploring the importance of healthy smiles as they took part in a special dental visit. The children were excited and curious as they learned all about how to care for their teeth, what dentists do, and why brushing and healthy eating help keep our smiles strong and healthy. ππͺ₯
A very big thank you to Paola from Daycare Dental for spending time with us today and sharing her knowledge in such a warm and engaging way. The children showed so much curiosity, asked thoughtful questions, and even shared plenty of brave smiles throughout the experience!
It was a fantastic opportunity to support childrenβs understanding of self-care, wellbeing, and building positive attitudes towards dental health from an early age.

πΏπ§οΈ Classroom 2 Rainforest Exploration π§οΈπΏ
Classroom 2 has been exploring the rainforest as part of their learning about weather and natural environments. The children showed wonderful curiosity and engagement as they investigated and created using a variety of loose parts and natural materials including leaves, bamboo, sticks, pop sticks, and glittery leaf sequins.
Through this experience, children were encouraged to observe, imagine, create, and experiment, building their understanding of the natural world in meaningful and hands-on ways.
