ALSA - Submissions are now open for the 2026 Edition of the ALSA Academic Journal!

The ALSA Education Portfolio is pleased to announce that submissions are now open for the 2026 Edition of the ALSA Academic Journal. Submissions will remain open from June 14 until July 14.

This is an excellent opportunity for students to submit their work to a high-quality academic publication, with a double blind peer review process and rigorous editing standards. We accept long-form articles of 4,000 - 12,000 words, and commentaries, case notes and book reviews of 2,000 - 4,000 words. All submissions must address Australian law, international law, or comparative legal studies with a significant Australian focus.

The theme for the 2026 Edition is 'New Beginnings.' All submissions are encouraged to follow this theme.

Examples could include pieces about an emerging area of law, recent legal changes, or future ideas for law reform.

Calling all first years! Get ready to enjoy a Court tour facilitated by the Francis Burt Law Education programme. The tour is a great opportunity to see firsthand how the court system operates in WA throughout courtroom activities and a viewing.

Curtin Law School is sponsoring a screening of Silenced as part of the 2026 Revelation Film Festival. The documentary follows the work of Australian human rights lawyer Jennifer Robinson and explores issues surrounding freedom of expression and human rights advocacy.
