Pinoy Stories Abroad proudly celebrates a remarkable gathering of leaders at the Australian Academies Group (AAG) Launch Event, bringing together influential voices from education, community service, and multicultural engagement across Western Australia.

A heartfelt recognition to Doctor Ingrid Ursua, President & Founder of Australian Academies Group, for her dedication to education and creating global learning opportunities. Together with Mr. Ed Ursua, Executive Vice President of AAG—Dr. Ingrid’s husband, a proud Bicolano and Caviteño born and raised in Tondo, Manila—they continue to inspire and shape future professionals through academic excellence and leadership.

The event was graced by distinguished guests including Mico Santos, Founder of Pinoy Stories Abroad and President of the Filipino International Student of Western Australia Council, who continues to champion Filipino student empowerment and community representation.

We were also honored by the presence of The Honourable Lord Mayor Bruce Reynolds of the City of Perth, whose leadership and unwavering support for civic and community initiatives continue to foster collaboration across diverse communities. Known for being accessible and engaged with the people he serves, Lord Mayor Reynolds remains committed to listening to and supporting his constituents.

Special appreciation as well to Carrisa Brillantes, Co-Founder of Pinoy Stories Abroad and Chairman of Perth Pinoy-Aus Sports Club Inc., for her leadership in strengthening sports, culture, and community engagement among Filipinos in Western Australia.

The Australia Philippine Business Council proudly features Australian Academies Group (AAG) as our Member of the Week.

AAG is a leading education and training group of three institutions, two Australian Registered Training Organisations, including a CRICOS-registered campus in Perth, and eVersity, its online campus, with thousands of enrolments in industry skills training. Together they deliver innovative, industry-aligned learning across the Asia-Pacific, with a presence in the Philippines since 2010.

The group is led by Dr. Ingrid L. Ursua, Founder and CEO, a respected leader in vocational education and training and a Commissioner of the International Alliance of Certified Hospitality and Tourism Professionals. She is joined by Ed Ursua, Co-Founder and Director of Strategic International Partnerships, driving AAG's global engagement and partnership growth.
