I had the pleasure of presenting my Digital Photo Sorting talk at Byford Library yesterday.
We covered practical ways to sort, organise, and enjoy your digital photos without feeling overwhelmed. From deciding where to store your photos to creating a simple system that works for you, the goal was to help attendees feel more confident about tackling their collections.
A couple of comments from the session:
"Sara, thank you for sharing your expertise and experience to save us time and to help us save our cherished memories. This was so valuable." - Natalie Grant
"Excellent. Easy to understand." - Dot Cotle
Thank you to everyone who attended, asked questions, and shared their experiences. It's always lovely to see people leave feeling more confident and motivated to get started.
If you'd like to attend a future Digital Photo Sorting talk, keep an eye on my page for upcoming events 😊

🤔If you are someone who tends to keep your received greeting cards…
Are you keeping them for the personal message, the artwork, or just because it feels right? 🤷♀️
🙃 If you’re not sure, it might be time to rethink which to keep. Becoming clear on why you are keeping them makes them easier to organise and enjoy.

"…unhealthy ones—through practice." – Wayne Dyer
Most of us have a few (or maybe more than a few 🤪) unhealthy habits. These didn’t just appear—they were built through consistency and repetition.
So, it stands to reason, if we want to shift to healthier habits, we need to do the same thing! 💪
Don’t delay…start building those healthy habits today. Your future self will thank you! 🙌

Feel like clutter keeps piling up? 😤
We all have those easy-to-fit-in tasks - checking emails, giving the house a quick vacuum, weeding… okay, I didn’t say they were fun tasks 🙃 But they’re doable because they’re small and quick, right?
Well, it’s the same for decluttering! The key is breaking it down into smaller, bite-sized tasks. 🧹 Get in the habit of reviewing small areas regularly and removing anything you no longer need.
Not only does this help prevent clutter from building up, but it also makes the process way less daunting! 💪

When stress hits, nobody needs extra stuff to deal with… like physical clutter, overwhelming commitments, or too many to-dos 🤯
We can ease the load by thinking:
⁉️ What can I forfeit (let go of) to create breathing space?
⁉️ What can I postpone so I’m not juggling too much at once?
…that’s exactly what I did about a year ago, when I became the main carer for my mum with dementia 💜.
🚫 I let go of stuff I had space to store but didn’t particularly need now. I used the mantra ‘if I don’t need it NOW or really love it, it’s out!’
⏳ I re-jigged home projects on my to-do list, even important ones, like drainage pipes! Because I now had a new priority.
😃 I hit pause on an exciting business project—tough, cos many of you were interested, but I’ll come back to it.
👯♀️ I limited social catch-ups while still trying to keep some close support, cos that’s a high priority in times of stress.
💼 I say no to meet-ups with business connections, this one stings, but survival mode comes first!
Tough choices, but they made life easier when I needed it most.
💬 If you are going through a stressful time, What’s one thing you could or have forfeited or postponed?

💦 Yikes! A water pipe under my bathroom sink burst and I had to sprint (well run as fast as my little legs would carry me 😂) down the road to turn the mains off 😭
💰$100’s of make-up, hair dryer, straightener all could have been ruined, but I managed to save it all by quickly moving everything into the bathtub 🛁
🤔What saved me…everything was already stored in containers, so I could easily grab it all before tearing down the road 🏃♀️
🚨It’s times like this that help cement what to do and what not to do firmly in our minds.
🧺Keeping belongings in containers doesn’t just keep spaces tidy - it can also save stuff in an emergency like this!
My plumber tells me it’s common to have pipes burst under the sink - anyone else had this happen? did anything get ruined 😬
