Pyjamas Day Fun 🥰

Today we enjoyed a cozy and fun-filled Pyjama Day at our Family Day Care. The children arrived wearing their favourite pyjamas and were excited to spend the day with their friends.
We participated in a variety of gross motor activities, including balancing and stepping across soft cushions, which helped develop coordination, balance, and confidence. The children also enjoyed imaginative play and read in the cubby house, crawling through doorways, exploring different spaces, and creating their own adventures together.
Pyjama Day provided a warm and relaxed environment where the children could play, learn, and strengthen their friendships while staying comfortable on a chilly day. Everyone had lots of fun and many smiles were shared throughout the day. 😊💕

Thomas & Friends book

Today, my friends enjoyed a fun and engaging learning experience inspired by the Thomas & Friends book. They explored the story by matching the toy trains to the characters in the book and recreated their own train track using chalk, blocks, and a train shed. As they moved the trains around the track, through tunnels, and into the station, they used their imagination to retell parts of the story and create new adventures. This activity encouraged early literacy, problem-solving, fine motor skills, and imaginative play while supporting the children's interest in trains and books.

Flower Crocs

The children had a wonderful time creating their own “flower Crocs” by decorating their crocs with freshly picked petals and blooms. This activity encouraged creativity, imagination, and a connection with nature as they explored different colours and textures. They proudly showed off their designs in a little “fashion show,” even trying to walk carefully while keeping their flowers in place. It was a joyful and engaging experience that combined art, movement, and outdoor play, leaving the children excited and proud of their creations.
